"The CX Pro skinnies weren’t my first choice but they worked a treat in the gloopy conditions at the Cirencester Duathlon. Ideal for fast non-technical multi-terrain style races and inexpensive too. They were super-fast on the gravel/double track sections but I found they lacked a little bite on the slick climb, although many struggled to conquer the climb on the 2nd lap – the worst conditions I’ve encountered since the Nish Nosh!
The handling of the tyres, despite the minimalist carcass, inspire enough confidence for more general use. I took them up Birdlip and Cranham on Saturday and felt at ease with them – not perhaps suitable where there is risk of snakebite though!
I look forward to using them in the drier conditions as the bike becomes a completely different animal with these tyres on!!!!
